Build a fully linked income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement for a small sample company, with every number provided so you can check your work at each step. Use AI to explain the links, pressure-test assumptions, write spreadsheet formulas, debug a model that does not balance, and summarize scenarios. Works in Google Sheets or Excel. No finance degree needed.
A 3-statement model links a company's income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement so a change in one flows through to the others. It is the foundation of most finance jobs, internships, and exams, but beginners often get stuck because they learn each statement on its own and never see the links. This short course fixes that by having you build a complete model for one small sample company, a coffee roaster, with every number provided. You download a ready-made template for Google Sheets or Excel, and at each step you can check your results against the expected figures, down to one decimal. You will learn the four links that tie the statements together, set up an assumptions block, and use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to explain concepts, challenge your assumptions, and write formulas that drop straight into your sheet. Then you will link the balance sheet and cash flow statement, add a balance check, and practice finding and fixing the errors that break most models. The course ends with two stress-test scenarios that show how a profitable business can still run out of cash, and an AI-drafted summary you check line by line. The spreadsheet does the math, AI helps you build and explain it. No finance degree needed.

No. The first lesson explains what each statement shows and how they connect, using the sample company's numbers. Basic spreadsheet skills like typing a formula and filling it across are enough.
Yes. You download a template with the sample company's actual year and all assumptions filled in. Each lesson lists the exact results you should see, so you can check your work at every step.
Yes. The template is a CSV file that works in Google Sheets or Excel, and every formula in the course works in both. If your Excel uses commas for decimals, the first lesson shows how to import the file so the columns line up.
No. AI explains concepts, questions your assumptions, writes formulas, and helps you debug. The spreadsheet does the calculations and you check the results. That way your model stays live and you understand every line.
